As another oppurtunity to practice creating a design that can be applied to multiple types of supporting materials, students were assigned to come up with a concept for the 2024 Typographics festival. We were required to make 3 2-page spread layouts of a program, website mockups, a gift bag with merch, and a digital advertisement.

My Goal

Inspired by recently watching the movie Tron, I wanted to run with a coding/computer programing theme. To accomplish this I used a black background with high contrast, including elements like thin lines, frames, and neon blue which is often used as an accent color in coding for high visibility. Also featuring the word “typographics” translated into binary code as a transparent background of the main logo mark.
